Olive's Chunky Rib

Olive's Chunky Rib

Olive’s Chunky Rib is a thick and classic ribbed sweater for the colder months – it is perfect as an outer layer in fall and spring.  The sweater is worked in the round from the top down using 2 strands of Heavy Merino.

You start with the ribbed neckband before shaping the neckline with German short rows. The yoke is shaped with raglan increases worked in pattern down to the underarms. Here, body and sleeves are divided and finished separately.  The top-down construction makes it easy and straightforward to adjust the body length and sleeve length as you go.
